Methodology Labor Force Survey 2024 The LFS survey was conducted in October-November 2024, with a sample size of 2,650 households, to represent the entire island in geographic, demographic, and socioeconomic characteristics. The final sample size was 4,006 respondents.The final sample size was 4,006 respondents.

The results of the LFS show that the employed population in Curaçao reached 71,919 persons, in 2024. Of the total, 38,174 are women and 33,745 are men, indicating a higher number of employed women than men. Between 2022 and 2024, employed men increased from 31,546 to 33,745, an rise of 7.0%. Employed women grew from 35,175 to 38,174, an 8.5% increase. In both years, more women were employed than men. The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) presents the results of the 2024 Labour Force Survey (LFS). This survey offers a detailed look at employment and unemployment trends in Curaçao. 

This includes the economically not active population, labour force, gross and net participation rate, and the unemployment under the youth. Unemployment Trends 2014–2024 By Olivia Thompson In 2024, Curaçao recorded 71,919 employed persons, the highest figure in the past decade. The unemployment rate decreased to 7.8%, down from 13.1% in 2022 and 19.1% in 2020.This trend follows a steady increase in employment after a dip during the pandemic years when the employed population dropped to 57,050 persons.
