The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) conducted a housing need survey in 2008 and in 2016. In both cases, people of 18 years and older were asked in a sample population whether they needed a home other than the one in which they lived at that time. The objective of the Housing Need Survey is to gather information of the demand for housing and housing supply compare with each other on the housing market.
The results of this research provide information to the community about the state of the (public) housing and serve as an important input for the formulation of government policies in the field of housing and development of business strategies by construction developers in the construction sector ( In which segments of the housing market are we going to invest?).
Under this theme you can find data of the results of the Housing Need Survey of 2008 and 2016. The data is presented in tables and graphics. Other information that are presented here are the data that was collected during the Census of 2011.
