Since 1987, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has been conducting Labour Force Survey (LFS) in Curaçao annually to provide reliable statistical information on the supply side of the labour market.
The Labour Force Survey aims to measure the latest developments of the labour market in Curaçao. It mainly concerns the developments in the unemployment rate (13.3% in 2016), the youth unemployment rate (36.8% in 2016), the size of the working population (65,117 persons in 2016) and the size of the unemployed population (9,953 persons in 2016).
The information presented in this section are data of the LFS held in 2014-2015 and in 2016. Furthermore there is also the publication about the specific data of labour questions of the census held in 2011.
